Product receipt and storage
Customers product is delivered to our warehouse by pallet or sea container. The inward order is checked against packing lists provided by the customer, sorted and put away in the pallet racks. SKU information and other product detail is recorded into our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and a report receipting the product into our system is sent to the customer. Once confirmed in the WMS, outward orders are allocated to product. Whys Logistics is listed by New Zealand’s quarantine agency, MPI, as an approved devanning facility.
Order Fulfilment
Outward orders are received into the WMS by a variety of methods (Shopify, Magneto etc) or by simple file transfer. A Pick List verifies the product is available within the Whys warehouse and the item is picked and scanned using SmartPack ® technology into the packing area for dispatch. The customer receives notification of the dispatch with tracking details. Whys Logistics work with the customer to tailor this process to their individual requirements.
Distribution
The consignment is tracked through the delivery process from warehouse to end customer. Whys Logistics provides a tracking tool to monitor this progress and can also generate emailed and SMS updates as required. This is particularly useful for B2C customers. An electronic “Proof of Delivery” is available on all shipments.
